EMPAC, European Metal Packaging
MPMA is an associated member of EMPAC, which was established in 2005, succeeding SEFEL.
EMPAC represents the metal packaging industry in the countries of the European Union.
Main objectives:
- to stimulate and promote the use of metal packaging in Europe
- to examine the European regulations of goods packed in metal materials in co-operation with their national member associations and the other professional trade associations, particularly in the area of environmental programmes and legislation
- to undertake thorough scientifically sound research on key issues which the metal packaging industry faces
- to develop a single communication platform to meet the public and authorities' concerns and offer a sound industry managerial and operational response
- to collect and disseminate statistical data relating to the industry
- to ensure that European and/or national regulations are in line with the strategic priorities of the metal packaging industry and it's suppliers.
