The Best in Metal Awards 2009, organised by the Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association (MPMA), attracted an exceptionally strong field of entries which highlighted the versatility of metal in adapting to the challenges of performance, aesthetics and sustainability.
Commenting on the overall standard of entries, MPMA Director Nick Mullen said: “Once again we have seen some show-stopping entries which put our judges in the enviable position of having to make tough decisions balancing the relative merits of metal packaging of such a high standard. This year’s entries demonstrated clearly that the metal packaging industry is listening hard to consumer requests for improved performance and greater functionality and is working in partnership with its customers to develop and strengthen their brands’.
