Key Personnel

Jason Galley, Director & Chief Executive

Responsible for the overall management of the Association.  He is the principal contact with Government and the voice of the industry, focusing on the environment, sustainability amongst all other industry topics.  Jason has 35 years’ industry experience in the metal packaging industry, working across many steel and aluminium packaging sectors including beverage, food, pharmaceutical, household, and personal care and also has a wealth of experience in operations and sustainability.  

Bernard Slack, Technical & Regulatory Affairs Manager

Providing technical support to members, reviewing pending legislation and standards and identifying issues relevant to members.  Bernard is an experienced industrial chemist specializing in performance coatings for metal packaging, with more than 30 years in the coatings industry.  He has spent most of his career with AkzoNobel and its predecessor ICI Packaging Coatings, contributing to major product developments for food and beverage can coatings and supporting key industry initiatives.

Debbie Clements, Administration Manager 

Manages all general administration, events and accounts.  Debbie has worked in the metal packaging industry for over 41 years gaining a wealth of knowledge of the sector.
